Portfolio Critique and Review
I can offer my editor’s eye and attention to detail to make sure your portfolio is as strong as possible. Deliverables may include written notes and a call to discuss the work presented in your portfolio as well as the current picture book and illustration market. Rates and payment terms will be set prior to any work.
Query, proposal, and synopsis critiques and/or editing
This usually includes a line edit and additional written notes as needed, as well as the option to ask follow-up questions. Query and synopsis feedback may also be added to developmental editing. Rates and payment terms will be set prior to any work. Available at an hourly rate of $150.
Consulting Services
This is for anyone seeking one-time general career or craft advice or ongoing, one-on-one support. Consultation conversations may be especially useful for writers very new to children’s publishing, and they’re also a great tool for more established authors seeking a second opinion. Rates and payment terms will be set prior to any work. Available at an hourly rate of $175, minimum one hour requested.
